Wildflower Triathlon '08
The Wildflower Triathlon is a triathlon (swim-bike-run race) held at Lake San Antonio in Central California since 1983. The original course was expanded to the standardized half-Ironman distance (1.2 mi / 56 mi / 13.1 mi) in the late 1980s, and is often referred to as simply the long course. Two more races have subsequently been added to the event: an Olympic-distance (1.5 km / 40 km / 10 km) race and a short or "sprint" mountain-bike triathlon (0.25 mi / 10 mi / 2 mi). Known for a particularly hilly and gruelling course, it is one of the largest triathlon events in the world, with 7,500 athletes and 30,000 spectators attending each year. Traditionally it is associated with a Wildflower festival, though in recent years the festival has been eclipsed by the increasingly large athletic event. From Wikipedia

Ironman Kona '07
Notably the biggest and most challenging triathlon, the Ford Ironman Triathlon in Kona will take place in early October and once again test the true passion and athletic prowess of 1700 participants. That means 1,700 "lucky" people get to test themselves on one of the biggest challenges the sports world has to offer ... 2.4-miles of swimming, 112-miles of biking, and a 26.2-mile marathon run through tough ocean waves, and challenging lava-covered terrain.
Dr. Armen was part of this historic event by volunteering his time to perform A.R.T. treatment and sports injury care to as many of these athletes as needed. A.R.T. providers from around the world are invited to these events to work on the triathletes before and after the main event. They need it not only to be pain-free, but to enhance performance.
